This week I had the chance to start reading my third book for my inquiry project. It's called Homeboyz which is a gang related book that is about how this teenager seeks revenge on his baby sister's death. I also got to interview a cop on wednesday and just get some information about the type of trouble gangs get into. From what me and my partner got was really amazing because cops have special codes they communicate with. One of the other things i have also started working on was a visual for my inquiry project which is also my independent project in multimedia class. This collage will be about gang violence and so far it is coming out very well.

This week I focused on getting everything ready for my inquiry project presentation. I am fixing every detail that needs to be done so me and my partner can present a very well organized presentation about our subject we studied about which was about gangs. Not only that but i decided to combine my independent project with my inquiry project into one to make a collage about gang violence. I have also started reading my third book, Sammy and Juliana in Hollywood.

This week was a little stressful even thugh we only had like threee days of school. I finished my 2nd book which was a biography about Tookie Williams. I also had a math midterm which i think i did great on and after that i wrote my second inquiry in class essay.

This week we have been having fun acting 12th night and are now on finishing the 2nd act. We have been watching clips of 12th night and it gave me a better understanding about the play because at first I really didn't understand what I was reading. I am also reading my book for my inquiry project.

This week i started reading my second book called Blue Rage Black redemption who is about Stanley "Tookie" Williams and what he went through in his life. By far i find the book very interseting very easy and I'm glad i chosed it because I'm really into knwing more about how Tookie Williams became famous not because he was a gang member but how he transformed from being bad to being good. We also finished Twelfth Night, the play by William Shakespeare. I found this play interesting also and pretty fun too since we got to act it out hich was pretty fun.

It has been a long week for me but a very excited one as well. We went to go see a play called Emma at the Old Globe Theater in Balboa park for our field trip on Tuesday. I really liked not because it was a romantic play but because I really enjoy shows, movies, or plays that are funny. This play had comedy in it that I really liked and got me into the play. We also went an art museum and an organic garden in city college. It was pretty interesting and learned new stuff about art and organic food. The last thing that i got to do is finish my book which was very interesting and am very glad that I got the chance to read it.

This week me and my partner started revising our inquiry project proposal and organizing the things we need such as interviews we need to make that is part of our project. Since the topic of our inquiry project is about gangs we decided to interview a police officer and a gang member we know in the future. We also started reading our first book which is The Outsiders.

This week we continued with Beowulf and we also finished reading the story. I think it was really interesting on how he would kill monsters and how he killed Grendel and Grendel's mother. He was the people's hero now and many looked up to him. After reading the story we had a quiz today(Friday). I also got to choose what type of books I am going to read for my inquiry project this semester and me and my partner decided to do it on gangsters. Our question was how gangsters influence our communities and in order to answer this question we are going to read three different books that have to do with gangs. Me and my partner are looking forward in interviewing a police officer to get more information about the question we are going to answer.

This week read the great story of Beowulf. It was really interesting on how Beowulf would do great things for the people and how he would kill monsters. We finished the story by today and I am really glad that I got to Read this story with my class because these are the type of stories that that interest me. I also started brainstorming on what i want to do for my inquiry project. I am thinking in reading books of terror or war.
