This week has been very stressing for me studying for finals for my government and math classes. I also stressed about presenting my inquiry project but I was prepared to present. But the things that i really appreciate that i did while being in English class was that we got to work on creative writing which i really like to do. I feel that creative writing is my strongest strength and i get motivated to work on types of things like writing poems or stories just like when we did the tragedy project. I have also develooped a skill of reading better and more. When we were assigned that we had to read three different books by the end of the semester I have realized that I really love reading dramartic friendship books. I got really into them that I wouldn't close the book till i got tired of reading. the skills that I would really want to get though is of writing because I have noticed that I write a lot of run on sentences and sometimes messes my essays up that I write.

Blog #9

This week I kept working on my inquiry project. I have also been reading my book, The perks of Being a Wallflower. I love this book i can't stop reading it I even read it during my classes because I'm so into it. we also finished our little grammar project yesterday and we presented what we learned and showed our posters to the whole class

Week #8

This week we started working on this small project about grammar errors that a lot of people make mistakes on. Me and my partner, who is Annel, decided to do our little project on nonrestrictive elements which are sentences where if you take the words that are between the commas the sentence will still make sense. I am working on a poster in photo shop that will help people to not commit a mistake on these type of sentences such a missing comma or where a comma should be placed.

Tragedy Project & Essay #2

This was a long week and we got to finish our traedy projects. Me and Brenda did a slideshow about the perfect family but then through years passing by how that perfect family wasn't perfect anymore. The whole family just split apart after the mother and father got divorced and one of the kids started to get into the world of drugs while the other one realized what was happening to his family and decided to take the right path and relive his family again by doing the right choices. We also started preparing for our Inquiry essay about our books this week. I did an outline about the book I read which is Staying Fat for Sarah Byrnes preparing to writemy essay which I already did and hoping I did well.

Week of Tragedy

Even though this week we only went to school for three days we had class time to work on our tragedy essays. Working on our tragedt essays was our main thig to work on this week and we also had two of our classmates to check our work. i gotreally good feedback from two of my classmates which helped me to improve my essay and make it better.

Just Tragedy!!

This week we worked on our tragedy project. I finished the sketch of my media project for tragedy with my partner and we decided to do a slide show on how traedy really is. We are gon show pictures of a perfect house and how it ended up because of the cause of a storm or on the way it was treated. I also finished my rough draft of my tragedy essay which is about everything I know what tradey really is and how it is now defined than from the past.

Week #4: Tragedy

This week we have been working on our tragedy project. We had to read six different articles about tragedies and some of those articles compared how tragedy is no meant today and how it has changed from the past to the present. One of the articles that i read was talking about how tragedies in the present are now more emotional than before because they leave u with a sad or unhappy ending.

3rd Entry of the week!!

This week we finished reading the story and play of Oepidus. It was a really interesting play and it intrigued me when I read that he had children with the queen of Thebes which is his mother but he doesn't know its his mother. We also talked about how we thought about this reading and shared our favorite line with the whole class. Not only that but we also saw a video of Oepidus when he becomes blind.

2nd Entry

This week in English class we had to do an in-class essay about the book we read. I read the book Always Running by Luis Rodriguez and I did my in-class essay about that book. we aslo saw sad clips from different movies who we thought they were sad scenes. We learned about Greek plays and many different characters who are Aeschylus, Sophocles, Aristotle, and Dionysus also read about Oedipus which are still currently reading.

This week we have been learning about socrates and reading the Apology he wrote. I have also been reading my book called Always Running by Luis J. Rodriguez.
